The catwalks have been taken down and the Marais quarter is once again populated by those wearing the trends and not those creating the fashion. Berlin Showroom looks back on yet another successful event that included twenty labels from the German capital presenting their spring/summer 2015 collections on September 26-29, 2014.
From leather corsets to printed shirts to block coloured jumpsuits, Berlin Showroom provided the perfect atmosphere for visitors to convene and be inspired by a pool of designers who were as varied as they were talented. On the first day, buyers, press and designers exchanged their ideas about individual collections during the Press & Buyers Breakfast. Established designers such as DSTM and Hien Le were equally represented alongside up-and-coming labels such as Marina Hoermanseder and Steinrohner.
Berlin designers impressed esteemed guests representing Beams, Galeries Lafayette, Desperado and Henrik Vibskov, as well as street style photographers who captured Berlin designs outside big shows like Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood.
Buyers from Asia comprised the largest percentage of visitors (30%) followed by buyers from the European market. Each participating label took the opportunity to attract new buyers and to develop existing business contacts. The showroom, made up of multiple labels, attracted around 600 visitors and will regularly take place in Paris and in New York during fashion week.
