Can you feel it in the air? It smells like Teen Spirit. A rebellion against society’s preconceived future and an ode to our memories where we all once, didn’t have any care in the world. For her first Paris presentation, Stefanie Biggel takes a journey back to youth inspired by Kurt Cobain’s unique look and teenage boredom in Larry Clark movies. At first sight of her collection, there was something that drew us in. Something nostalgic for all 90’s kids who knew every Nirvana song, but most importantly, addicted to Kurt’s lifestyle as much as he was addicted to… well, whatever he was hooked on. The collection has a tomboy grunge look with a work wear influence, ranging in wool to shiny vinyl, playing on different layering and patchwork, as well as prints and patterns developed in collaboration with Milan based textile artist Klaus Schmidt. Love this collection!
