After a much-anticipated arrival, Mr. Hiroyuki Sasaki’s Japanese-based fashion powerhouse TOMORROWLAND is introducing its women’s collection in the U.S., beginning with its Fall/Winter 2015 collection.
Mr. Sasaki is thrilled to finally debut this innovative offering to the U.S., a development he’s been aiming for since the brand’s inception. “It’s been over three decades since we started TOMORROWLAND,” he says. “Our goal has always been to be an international company, and this season felt like the perfect time to expand to the U.S.”
TOMORROWLAND was introduced by Mr. Sasaki in 1978, and since its launch, the brand has grown into a firm which now plans, manufactures and sells its own women’s and men’s apparel and accessories brands in Japan, while also partnering with premium brands including Acne Studios, Dries Van Noten, Golden Goose Deluxe Brand, Isabel Marant, James Perse, Jean-Paul Knott and WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie. For its own collections, TOMORROWLAND utilizes high quality materials from Japan and Europe, including suri alpaca, saxony wool and hard-twist cotton for its Fall/Winter 2015. The brand also creates its own fabrics and unique textures, which are exclusively available through the skilled craftsmen they collaborate with in Japan. These distinct features place TOMORROWLAND in a league of its own, both in aesthetic and quality design.
For its Fall/Winter 2015 Collection, the brand explored with fabrics, shapes and colors that accentuate the comforting elements infused throughout the collection. Casual-meets-elegant styling is realized through muted neutrals that complement this season’s rich pops of color. Loose and free-flowing silhouettes bring luxury and romance to belted waists and detailed tailoring. These contrasts are incorporated harmoniously, resulting in a collection that feels both sophisticated and organic.
