It seems everywhere you turn, from the runway to the streets, this season is chock-full of expected displays of denim. That’s why we’re especially delighted to see what designer Faustine Steinmetz has done in her new collection in an attempt to show that when it comes to denim, wear-and-tear is just the beginning. As if the layers, fringe, and diverse array of blues were not reason enough, now the brand is also using sustainable, responsibly sourced materials giving us yet another reason to just say yes! The deliberate 90’s nostalgia permeating through the collection takes us back to our teenage dreams of being the coolest girl in school. Of adding felt, paint, and digitally printed lines onto her jeans, the designer notes “it’s a bit like a painting”. And with these fashion forward works of contemporary art, we’re thrilled to be the canvas!
