Majorelle is created by Rachel Zeilic former head designer and creative director of Style Stalker and The Jetset Diaries. Majorelle is named after the Jardin du Majorelle in Marrakech, a garden that was a 40 year old labor of love by the artist Jacques Majorelle. Yves Saint Laurent discovered the Jardin Majorelle in 1966 and hung out there with his muses during the 1970s. Yves would say he was able to find an unlimited source of inspiration in the Jardin Majorelle.
The collection will make its debut Fall 2016 this July. The chic collection that is that is wistful and romantic, while still being sexy and modern. With a range of styles including dresses, bodysuits, crop-tops and maxi skirts, with a range of denim – the collection perfectly blends casual and elegant dressing for a luxe boho line with a vintage inspired edge.
Each delivery within the fall collection evolves to create a bolder look and feel. The collection starts with ivory, hues of blue, red and a soft aztec print, the collection moves into a desert muted hued look featuring striped wovens and paisley prints mixed with blush, indigo and camel tones; and ends with a bold stripe knit, a black and white floral print and solids in black, navy and berry red for the perfect fall feel.
Designer and Creative Director Rachel Zeilic was born and raised in Sydney, Australia and entered the fashion industry in 2007, when she noticed a gap in the marketplace between high-street and designer for well-priced yet well designed clothing, which prompted her to launch Stylestalker. While initially self-taught and self-funded, Zeilic entered into a partnership in 2013 and moved her business to Los Angeles, where she currently resides. After launching The JetSet Diaries in 2014 Rachel continued to grown and expand on her creative pallet.
