Korean brand Charms re-defines traditional swimwear this season with logo-featuring suits that read just as much sporty as they do classic. Reminiscent of 1950’s Gidget-era Malibu days with a touch of modern day edge, the swim collection by this Seoul based brand ranges from pastel hues of pinks and blues, to eye-catching Lolita-like red stripes. And who could forget the show-stopping black and white jailbird one-piece with the brand’s logo splashed across the front. Charms’ creative director Yohan Kang, who first debuted the label’s his/hers aesthetic three years ago, has taken some steps to make this season’s swimwear line distinctly feminine, a slight departure from previous seasons which have boasted matching his and hers joggers, logo socks, and varsity jackets. Logo-covered couture is on fleek this season, and Charm’s has clearly taken on its own version of the trend, not afraid to do a little self promoting.
