Street-inspired clothing brand Dimepiece goes back to its LA roots for its latest Spring ’16 collection, collaborating with Los Angeles native artist Albert Reyes. The SS’16 range “Give and Take” pays homage to the cultural contributions and adaptations from the various sub genres, street culture, art, and music. The collection boasts workwear inspired styling in woven fabrications such as chambray and black denim, with hand drawn artwork by Albert Reyes. Faces of neighborhood regulars, dollar signs, lurking eyes, grinning lips, and the Dimepiece motto “Aint No Wifey” comprise the wide array of graphics. Reminiscent of early 90’s sports wear brands – tight fitting swimwear and under garments compliment the more relaxed fitting pieces. This collection is a tribute to originators of Los Angeles’ urban attitude. The sharing, exchange and mutual respect for the various cultures that make up our present LA, is the nature of “GIVE AND TAKE.”
