Born in the southeast of Sweden, Yulia Kjellsson, is a collection of pieces that are dreamy and daring. The designer is interested in the connection between mental health and social and political issues, and through questioning, she tries to find the answers and meaning of life. Her new collection, Happily Ever After is about today’s economic system and how it is built on consumers. If we stop consuming, the capitalistic system simply wouldn’t work, so they have to keep us eternally unsatisfied. The lookbook is about a child growing into an adult, which in our modern society equals the transition from human to consumer.
