The MMEGA F/W 2017 collection was inspired by the city: the matt surfaces of the roads during the day, recreated by the use of opaque fabrics and the sheen of neon lights in the night, reinterpreted through lurex and velvet. The colors also speak the language of the night with dark monochrome nuances and a hint of purple light.
With the concept of night and day at mind and its underground vibe, this fashion collection wanted to reach to a new type of client that seeks duality in her wardrobe. Never before has a woman been more independent and free. With less time on her hands, she struggles to find those 30 minutes to go home and change before heading out for an drink with her friends.
Thanks to the versatility of the garments in this collection, a classic velvet dress is paired with a basic knitted top and sneakers or an oversize sweater is worn with a sleeveless lurex knitted high neck top and black trousers to create the perfect total look for work and, if deconstructed, for the evening. The coats are double-face to create a total look change without the rush and the lurex plissé skirt accessory is perfect on both trousers or a dress to spice things up for the night.
