When it comes to the style aesthetic coming out of Zero Laboratory, there’s clearly no holding back on the accessorizing or layering pieces. For this brand, anything goes, and the Resort ‘18 collection is no exception. Socks with sandals, two hats piled on top of each other, and all the oversized silhouettes imaginable, this is a streetwear brand that is undoubtedly trying to get people’s attention for their excessive layering. In doing so, they defy the typical conventions of what is considered fashionable. Most notably, you’ll notice some clear resistance to conforming to gender norms. Whether it be a male in a skirt, or a female wearing a shapeless t-shirt, Zero Laboratory creates streetwear that thinks outside the box, and while it may not be for everyone, it certainly does open up a dialogue surrounding style and fashion.
