Layering, pattern, embellishment, oh my! There’s no shortage of texture and pattern being played with in the Autumn/Winter ‘17 drop from Doriane Van Overeem. Whether it be cheetah print on top of stripes, all-over embroidered florals, or in-your-face ruffles, this is certainly a collection that demands attention. It’s truly the perfect mix of feminine elements like florals, mixed with loud, attention grabbing details that give the pieces a more masculine feel. Beyond just the designs themselves, though, DVO as a brand comes with a lot of respect. In direct response against the slow fashion movement, pieces are only released bi-annually, with the entire design and manufacturing process done in the brand’s hometown of Belgium. It’s brands like this that focus on both the clothing and the ethics that are the true winners in our books.
