As always, we love a collection that takes a stance against larger issues through the use of design. With this collection from Private Policy, the brand does just that. Titled, “Charlie and Peace”, this collection is a dedication to Charlie Chaplin. During Chaplin’s lifetime, the renowned entertainer created a show that specifically mocked Hitler, at a time when Hitler was considered one of the most powerful men alive. The film acted as a wakeup call to humanity about all the atrocities that were occuring during WWII. Private Policy created this collection to honor Chaplin’s bravery, and hopefully inspire more people to stand up for issues they believe in, like Chaplin did. You’ll notice the clothing definitely has a very strong, rough, and military influenced vibe about it, which only further strengthens that message of standing up for what is right.
