Photographed by Min Hyung, this collection from Open The Door makes both a fashion statement, but also a social statement. Focusing on the importance of mental health and positivity, this collection is all about using fashion and style to shed light on an important social issue. However, don’t take this to mean the collection is all about sunshine and rainbows. Instead, this collection is actually quite edgy. There’s bustiers, bra tops, grunge inspired plaid, chains, leather boots, and, thanks to styling by Hyojin Hansule, plenty of unlikely pairings for something a little unexpected. For example, in one outfit, we have a black midi skirt, paired with a grey hoodie-style sweatshirt, with a pin-striped blazer over top, and a pair of platform sneakers to bring the look together. Clearly not your typical pairing, and yet, we’re absolutely loving how Open The Door always manages to challenge our ideas of what is considered conventionally stylish.
