Have you had the chance to check out the “Shadow of the Sun” collection from Lenni yet? This collection manages to feel holiday inspired, while still keeping that cool, boho feel that Lenni is so well known for. For example, when we think of a holiday collection, for the most part, we might think sequin mini dresses, velvet, and plenty of red and green. And, while yes, this collection does have a nice helping of all that, they add in the Lenni aesthetic by shooting the lookbook in a forest setting and playing up the edgy style details. For example, the sparkly midi skirt feels very holiday appropriate, but it’s given the Lenni edge when a cool band tee is thrown into the mix. In addition, there’s a green paisley mini dress that feels both holiday appropriate and bohemian. And oh, what about that green velvet slip style dress that has the embroidered gold detailing at the bottom? While, on paper, this description might sound quintessentially holiday inspired, the way it has been styled feels more bohemian. For example, shoes are left out of the shot, the hair is left natural and undone, and there’s very little makeup on the model. And so, if you’re looking for some holiday style inspiration, but you prefer to keep your look a little more toned down and natural, we can’t say enough good things about this lookbook from Lenni.
