Inspired by the moon, once you check out this collection from Sandra Stachura, you won’t have any problems picking out the distinct outer-space theme. More specifically, the designer felt called to create this collection after visiting the Natural History Museum in London, where the Museum of the Moon exhibition was occurring. Completely enchanted by the moon and its beauty, Sandra wanted to take this beauty and translate it into garments. To do this, you’ll find that, in terms of color palette, the majority of this collection is done in inky black and shimmering silver. In addition, you probably won’t be too shocked to find sequins, which act to mimic stars in the night sky. Having said that, while sequins might not seem particularly high-end or luxe, it’s also important to be aware that crystals have been sewn onto the dresses, along with the addition of ostrich feathers, soft cashmere, and luxe lamb leather. In other words, only the finest Italian materials, natural leathers, and the highest quality wools were used throughout. Lastly, we also want to draw your attention to the shoes shown throughout the collection, which were also designed by Sandra Stachura. To tie in that outer-space aesthetic, the shoes are done with translucent heels, with a look that is meant to resemble uncut stones, giving the shoes this very geometrical and modern aesthetic. Bottom line: if you’re looking for a collection that is undeniably something that will take notice of, we can’t wait for you to get familiar with all things Sandra Stachura.
