Cosmic Waters encompasses Fiorucci’s quintessential sense of humour, inspiration and charm. It’s time to meet the Venus Angels. Key styles from the capsule include silk slip dresses featuring the Frankenstein Mermaid graphic from the Fiorucci archive, bold Lycra twin sets, and matching satin-style shirts and trousers adorned in the Cosmic Waters print, reminiscent of the exquisite shapes and colours that waves produce. Fiorucci Womenswear designer Evie Reddy explains ‘when we first approached this collection, the world was longing for freedom, and it was this feeling that ignited the deep-sea narrative. We hoped to capture the surreal and unexpected through the use of archive graphics, such as the dancing star fish and seaweed intarsia. The graphics, prints, colours and textures used throughout the collection, aspire to stimulate your imagination and transport you to an optimistic place that is still yet to be explored.’ For Cosmic Waters, we introduce SeaCell fibre across a range of jersey, which is produced exclusively from raw materials including wood and seaweed, using methods that save both energy and resources.
