Not your average fashion label, progressive Tokyo based brand Enfold is no stranger to challenging style conventions. Just take a look through their Pre-Fall ‘21 collection if you want a glimpse into what we’re describing here. Clearly designed to be more conceptual than wearable for the average style enthusiast, this collection features over-the-top layering, oversized silhouettes, pops of color, unique style pairings, and details that you’re likely not going to see in any other collection. For instance, clothespins are used as a style detail on a pair of red pinstripe pants, a knee pad detail is added onto a pair of voluminous trousers, and coats are done with 3D details. And what about all the layering? With nothing in this collection feeling particularly figure-flattering or womanly, it’s clear that this isn’t a priority for the brand. Instead, we feel confident in saying that their mission is all about challenging style conventions and giving fashion enthusiasts a chance to show off their sense of style in a whole new light.
