Photographed by Chunchen Zhang, modeled by Xiwen, Thibaut Royer, and Ganna, with hair/makeup done by Di Zhang, this collection from Pann is one that you have to see to believe. Titled “Drip The Palette”, this lineup brings us ideas of both minimalism and deconstructionism. The pieces are elegant and sleek, yes, but you’ll also notice that there’s a raw and edgy feel to them, which comes through from the deconstruction. In addition, this contrast between sleek and raw also perfectly plays into some of the themes and inspiration behind this collection. In particular, for the television fans out there, you’ll be interested to know that “The Queen’s Gambit” was one of the major inspirations for this collection. All about highlighting female strength and calling attention to women’s ability to rise within a male-dominated sport (i.e. chess), this collection brings about the feeling by keeping with more feminine details like sequins, peplum blouses, classic midi skirts, and puff sleeve mini dresses. On the other hand, though, we find classic menswear-inspired tailoring, including tuxedo pants, button-down dress shirts, and structured blazers. Trust us, with so much juxtaposition and unique elements making their way into this collection, Pann is a brand that you’re soon going to fall in love with.
