The sheer power of collaboration is more apparent than ever with the growing partnership between well-loved brands, Adidas and Prada. Both powerhouses combined their collective design and creative knowledge in 2020 by launching an elevated spin on the original Superstar sneakers. Since then, the two brands have combined forces to produce multiple sneaker collabs. Now, their united collection is getting reworked using Prada’s groundbreaking textile, Re-Nylon, which is created by recycling a combination of plastic waste collected from the ocean as well as textile fiber waste.
That’s not all either. The Adidas and Prada collaboration is launching with sustainability at the forefront of design. Not only are the Forum High and Forum Low sneaker silhouettes being renewed with removable compartments that pay homage to Prada’s signature nylon handbag – but the duo is adding ready-to-wear, accessories, and bags to their joint repertoire. Each piece is made in Italy with the use of the cutting-edge re-nylon fabrication. Key clothing pieces include a tracksuit, sweater, jacket and bucket hat. You can also expect to see a belt bag, backpack, shopping bag, and more – all emblazoned with Prada’s signature metal triangle logo positioned next to Adidas’ Three Stripes.
The Re-Nylon collection is a true testament to the convergence between streetwear and sustainability, giving us a glimpse into the future of the fashion landscape. The new and approved Adidas for Prada Re-Nylon collection launches on January 13th and can be found via Prada and Adidas.
