Once again, BlackPink permeates the fashion industry. Arguably one of the hottest K-pop groups, it really is no wonder why designers continuously enlist BlackPink members to star in their ads. The latest testament is Celine’s newest campaign, starring Lisa, who has been an ambassador of the brand for some time now. The best part, it’s pet friendly!
Last winter, Celine had released a teaser of its first foray into doggy accessories. Creative director, Hedi Slimane, used his own poodle, Elvis, as the campaign dog model to co-star alongside Blackpink’s Lisa. As you can expect, the photographs are just as awe inducing as one can expect (our favorite is Lisa cradling Elvis). The fashion house is labeling this newest venture as “Elvis: Portrait of a Celine Dog”. The introduction of pet accessories was originally conceived just for Slimane’s use but the brand immediately recognized how covetable the goods were, thus a full collection was born.
Dog lovers and fashion lovers will rejoice at what is to be released. The collection is complete with leather collars, doggy bag holders, leashes and more in black and brown colorways. Perhaps the star of the show though is the full sized handbag emblazoned with the word ‘DOG’. We imagine that those who are able to get their paws on the Celine pet collection will be able to boast having some of the most fashionable dog accessories to date.
Celine’s dog-friendly collection will be released in June 2022 on Celine.com, as well as global retail locations – so stay tuned.
