For atypical design that feels equal parts effortless and sophisticated, you’re going to love everything that Edward Cuming has in store for you. Well known for their ability to serve up experimental designs that deliver fresh takes on classic details, this latest collection is everything that we could have hoped for. Most notably, some of the details that immediately captured our attention include the bold pops of color, the lace detailing, the classic black and white stripes, the sheer fabric, and probably most notably, the breezy button-down blouses done in oversized silhouettes. On paper, this all seems a little underwhelming but it is the way that pieces fit together and the aesthetic that they convey that really help to bring the collection to life. Not to mention, with the use of lightweight fabric and draping present, we would also say that there’s a feminine feel making its way into the release. Having said that, the feminine feel isn’t automatically noticeable and we wouldn’t say the collection is necessarily girly. In fact, there are male models wearing the clothing. Instead, the collection feels soft, light, breezy, and easy to wear while still looking great. Is this aesthetic from Edward Cuming one that you can get behind?
