A Closer Look At the Nike x Jacquemus Sneaker

Last month, we were stoked to announce that a Nike x Jacquemus collection was on the way. As we get closer to the release date, we now have even more insider information on the highly anticipated drop. Namely, the hyped sneaker collaboration. Here is all you need to know.

As previously relayed, the Nike x Jacquemus collection will consist of 15 different pieces of ready-to-wear and accessories. All styles are an enhanced crossover of athletic wear and Jacquemeus’ signature minimal aesthetic. No doubt, one of the most hyped pieces are the sneakers and the brand recently teased them on Instagram. The two brands combined forces to rework the Humara sneaker which was a running shoe that had originally released in 1997. It features a chunky sole and will of course be offered in none other than two neutral colorways. The sneaker in question received the Jacquemus treatment and features a mix of materials, ribbon detailing, and a minimal remake of the classic Nike swoosh symbol.

On June 27, Jacquemus will be showcasing their latest collection, dubbed “La Papier”, on the runway. Simon Porte shares how it will take place in the south of France, somewhere very special to him. Of course, pieces from the Nike collection will be interwoven into the presentation.

The following day, on June 28, the Nike x Jacquemus collection will be available worldwide to shop. It is set to release exclusively on Jacquemus.com, as well as select Nike retailers. Scroll on for a closer look at what you can expect.
