Back in March of this year, Birkenstock x Manolo Blahnik teamed up for an unlikely collaboration. The two brands released a Sex In the City inspired clog that re-envisioned the iconic Blahnik heels into a more wearable, everyday silhouette. Now, they are back with round two, serving up another capsule collection that is just as anticipated as the last. If you missed out last time, be sure to take notes on the release information below.
The signature Birkenstock styles, namely the Arizona, Boston, and Rodra, receive the Blahnik treatment once more. But this time, the new styles are pared back and come in an array of neutrals rather than the bright velvet styles from earlier this year. The new Arizona style takes direct inspiration from the luxury brand’s 1970 PVC heel. Available in black or white, these new slides arrive just in time for all your favorite summer activities.
If you are in the mood for something more eye-catching, the Rodra and Boston get revamped in a graphic black-and-white polka dot pattern. Rather than PVC, the uppers of these styles are actually made of calf hair which adds a layer of luxe texture. Prices for the second installment of Birkenstock x Manolo Blahnik have yet to be announced but we do know that the last collection ranged from $750 to $810 so prep accordingly.
