Sailor Moon, the cult favorite anime series, has been on a roll with fashion collaborations. In April, the show teamed up with fashion label, Maje. This time, Vans has been enlisted for a nostalgic capsule collection, which includes clothing, footwear, and accessories featuring the hit Sailor Guardians. This collection will undoubtedly appeal to anime fans, as well as Y2K fashion enthusiasts.
The Sailor Moon x Vans collection, officially titled “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon”, will be available in women’s, men’s, and kid’s sizing. Classic Vans shoe silhouettes, including the Sk8-High, slip-on and lace-up styles, are reimagined with graphics of Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Max, Luna and other Sailor Guardians. Accessories within the lineup include an embroidered baseball cap and beanie, a Luna backpack and even a fuzzy pair of slippers.
As far as apparel goes in the Sailor Moon x Vans collab, you can expect comfy silhouettes, such as t-shirts and hoodies emblazoned with similar anime graphics. There will even be a crewneck sweater that features Sailor Moon’s heroic suit and bow on the front with the classic Vans checkerboard and “Off the Wall” slogan on the two sleeves.
This will be the first installment of the anime partnership. Later in the season, Vans skater, Lizzie Armanto will release her own version of a sneaker along with additional Sailor Moon merch and apparel. For now, gear up to shop the first drop of Sailor Moon x Vans starting June 10. It will be made available exclusively at select Vans retail stores and on Vans.com.
