After tapping Nicki Minaj for their first campaign earlier in the year, it seems like Heaven by Marc Jacobs has yet to slow down. This sub-brand continues to use the early 2000’s as their driving force and has now enlisted none other than Doc Martens for a brand new, Y2K-inspired collaboration. And it comes with a Gen-Z twist… The end result is a perfect grunge-inspired capsule collection that will pair well with any edgy outfit this season.
The Heaven By Marc Jacobs and Dr. Martens partnership revamps two of the most iconic shoe silhouettes to date. Starting with the Mary Jane, also known as the Addina Double Stitch Bex, the two brands kept to the original style as much as possible but added a chunky, ground-stomping sole. The shoe also features a double-headed teddy bear hardware that is the official icon of Heaven By Marc Jacobs. Of course, there is a yellow and black branded pull tab – a Dr. Martens signature staple.
In addition to the Mary Jane style, you can also expect to see a rendition of the Ricki Sandal. This very utilitarian style showcases a chunky platform bottom and velcro straps. Again, the teddy bear emblem is incorporated into the design. Both styles will be available in black with yellow stitching and will retail for $160.
If you’re ready to step up your shoe game this summer, keeps your eyes peeled. On June 6, the Dr. Martens x Heaven By Marc Jacobs will be available to shop exclusively online at Drmartens.com, as well as select retail locations.
