Chloe Cherry Picked for Steve Madden’s Nostalgic Campaign

The Y2K wagon is not stopping anytime soon. This time, Steve Madden revived their iconic big head advertisement series with actress Chloe Cherry. You might recognize these pictures from your magazines back in the hay day where each model was pictured with huge heads, a tiny body, and enlarged shoes. The Euphoria star is snapped in a modern take on this age-old campaign concept.

Steve Madden also enlisted Bella Poarch and Latto to be a part of the new campaign, dubed “Maddenwood”. Inspired by low-fi aesthetics of the 80’s and 90’s, as well as Andy Warhol’s screen test short films, the imagery depicts Chloe Cherry posing alongside digital graphics of psychedelic mushrooms. The brand even brought back the chick wearing a studded collar, which is a direct homage to the big head advertisements of the past. As for the video counterpart, Cherry, Poarch and Latto can be seen auditioning to play a Steve Madden shoe, in which they are then transported to a virtual, augmented world full of punchy colors and fun graphics.

Given the popularity for all things nostalgia, we love Steve Madden’s invigorated way to showcase their latest styles, which happen to be the perfect accent for your 90’s inspired outfits. The Paloma is a patent leather loafer, Fantsie is a calf-high boot, and Cypress is a knee-high boot – all of which have a chunky sole for the ultimate Y2K aesthetic.

You can check out the images from the campaign below – and shop the new styles directly on SteveMadden.com .
