Just last week, the fashion world was buzzing about leaked images that potentially indicated a Tiffany & Co. and Nike collaboration. Well, the rumors were put to bed as the two brands have officially confirmed the partnership on Sunday, January 29. Both posted teaser photos to their social media accounts and there was even a print ad in the New York Times that dubbed this “a legendary pair”.
The leaked photos depicted a black suede Air Force 1 Low featuring a Tiffany blue swoosh, as well as a silver back plate on the sneaker that mimics some of Tiffany’s most popular jewelry. Now, the brands have provided us with a singular image of a shoe box in the signature blue color that the luxury jewelry brand is known for. This would mark their first foray into the sneaker world and it only makes sense that they would team up with industry giant, Nike, in order to do so.
Since the LVMH acquisition back in 2021, Tiffany and Co. has undergone multiple different collaborations including Beyonce and Jay-Z, Supreme, Fendi, Daniel Arsham – just to name a few. As for Nike who is already well known for their variety of partnerships, we deem it a smart business move on their part. After all, the jewelry industry is only continuing to expand, especially with men’s fashion taking a greater interest in accessories.
