We don’t know how Selkie always manages to surprise us with their over-the-top feminine designs, but once again, they’ve got us under their spell with the Spring/Summer ‘24 lookbook. Titled, “Believe”, this collection immediately drew us in with the dreamy combination of princess-inspired gowns, dramatic ruffles, romantic shades of pink, plenty of floral prints, and all the puff sleeves and whimsical details that you can imagine. So where does all this romantic flavor come from? Well, in particular, with this collection, the brand was inspired by the Cottingley sisters who managed to convince the world in 1917 that fairies might exist. You can see both this fantasy-inspired element and the vintage flair present all throughout the release. In addition, you might notice some burlesque-inspired design elements, which was also intentional on the brand’s part.
