In 2018, the Israeli-Palestinian label ADISH was founded with the purpose of using fashion as an avenue for communicating social commentary, raising awareness, and celebrating local culture. Blending classic Palestinian craftsmanship with modern streetwear, the brand produces thought-provoking, socially conscious garments. ADISH works hand-in-hand with Palestinian embroidery artisans, with most of its tatreez (Arabic for embroidery) crafted by women in Ramallah, Hebron, and the Dheisheh refugee camp. Symbolizing the area’s natural beauty, their collections feature the flora and fauna of Israel and Palestine. By using clothing to emphasize vital social and political issues, ADISH is on the cutting-edge of fashion in its mission to collaborate intimately and bring about meaningful change.
