CARNET-ARCHIVE, a modern South Korean clothing label, has a mission to merge art and fashion through their designs. Halyn Kim and Young Dae Kong, the designers behind the brand, were classmates at London College of Fashion and named their company after a phrase meaning “a collection of notebooks.” The brand takes cues from architecture, sculpture, and dance to explore the relationship between creation and destruction in their pieces, such as deconstructed silhouettes, mixed and matched textiles, and special dyeing processes. CARNET-ARCHIVE’s clothing falls somewhere between tailored streetwear and grunge, and presents luxury with a unique twist.
