Full of upcycled denim and one-of-a-kind gowns, this collection from Monica Seggos is full of attention worthy fashion. Titled “Ray of Light”, this collection was shot by Xin Wang, and modelled by Rai, with the inspiration for the designs coming from the rays of light you might find in a photographer’s studio. So how did Seggos come to this point of creating such well crafted pieces? Well, she started with design while working as a stylist. She would create one-of-a-kind pieces specifically for her editorial shoots, all while keeping the photographer’s vision in tact. These days, though, Seggos works on her own designs, with her creativity driving the pieces. She highly values sustainable design practices, while also always considering design elements for their aesthetics. It’s this balance between both aesthetics and sustainability that makes Seggos such an important designer.
