In a collaboration with Barcelona-based artist, David Mendez, Lazy Oaf serves up something fresh and new for their spring editorial, and oh yes, we’ve got a feeling people are going to go wild for it. Full of playful styles and color, this collection embodies everything youthful throughout all aspects of the lookbook, from the clothing, to the models, and even to the set itself. In terms of the actual Lazy Oaf pieces, you can’t help but notice the youthful styles through overt childhood references, like the use of primary colors, and childhood style staples, like corduroy. Best part? This youthful and playful style not only works perfectly within the Lazy Oaf design aesthetic, it’s also Mendez’s preferred artistic style. Rejecting the idea of “growing up”, he prefers to focus on ideas of spontaneity and imagination through his work. There’s no space for rigid or boring with Mendez.
