World renowned brand, Rimowa, is best known for their luxury travel gear. The company is teaming up with London-based skateboarding brand, Palace, for a limited edition collaboration as part of Palace’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection. The duo delivers a refreshing, streetwear inspired take on the classic Original Cabin suitcase.
Officially called the Palace RIMOWA Original Cabin Desert Suitcase, this piece exhibits a dystopian-esque airbrush design of a colorful desert landscape. Or according to the brand’s press release, is “a nomadic figure walking towards a chrome monolith, appearing to be watched over by a sand sculpture of a woman”. The interior of the luggage boasts an eye-catching infinity sign that depicts both the brand’s shared mission of creating products that will last a lifetime.
In addition to the reworked suitcase, Palace x Rimowa have also worked on an original skate deck. Again, this piece features the intricate infinity design along with both of the company’s brand logos merged together. The skate deck will be sold separately from the suitcase. There will only be 500 pieces to claim of each so be sure to set your reminder if you are interested in copping one of these limited edition designs.
The Palace x Rimowa collaboration will be released on February 10. Fans can purchase either the suitcase or the skate deck on palaceskateboards.com, rimowa.com, as well as the Palace flagship stores and Dover Street Market in Los Angeles and London.
