LA based, Danish designer Anine Bing taps into the realm of athleisure. This time, she has joined forces with a brand that resonates with her admiration – Reebok. Anine Bing’s decision to collaborate with Reebok was driven by her long-standing admiration for the heritage brand. Anine Bing, who initially rose to fame as a content creator, launched her namesake brand in 2012. Since then, she has gained a following amongst the fashion circuit, often through her aesthetic of fusing vintage inspiration with modern trends.
Anine Bing didn’t just want to design a collection in collaboration with Reebok. She wanted to dive deep into the brand’s legacy and reimagine some of the iconic styles from the 80s and 90s for the contemporary woman. An interesting facet of this collaboration is Bing’s muse – the late Princess Diana. Bing has often referred to the Princess as a source of inspiration. In 2021, when she introduced Anine Bing Sport, she drew heavily from the Princess’s style, often captured in the paparazzi shots from the 90s that are still circulated on social media platforms. The photographs often show Princess Diana in oversized sweatshirts, biker shorts, thick white socks, and sneakers, creating an off-duty and timeless style that Bing aims to encapsulate in her collection.
