Inspired by contemporary art, ethnographic photography, and pop culture, we’re loving these high quality designs coming out from Jessie Lecomte. In this collection, titled “The Grace of a Bird’s Wind”, there’s no mistaking the influence of birds. Bird motifs, feathers, swooping fabrics, and plenty of draping all call to mind the gracefulness which we’ve come to expect of birds. We also clearly see references to the Japanese kimono, which further gives the collection a feminine feel. However, we also have plenty of tailoring and structured pieces, which prevents the collection from feeling too overtly feminine. There’s still an edge to the pieces. Pair all that with a color palette that reminds us of a stunning sunset, and we’ve got ourselves a collection that’s bound to spark some conversation between fashion enthusiasts.
