Originally launched under the name Modahnik, New York City fashion label KAHINDO is an exciting ready-to-wear indie label created for the progressive woman of today. Tapping into her dual cultures, American and Congolese, the label’s designer Mateene creates feminine pieces that make a statement and empower. With inspiration from conceptual artist Lina Iris Victor, the latest collection fuses blue, black, white, and gold and the results are gorgeous. Silhouettes that are free flowing and elegant are juxtaposed with other looks that are more classic and even traditional in hugging a female figure. You can definitely see the fusion of the designer’s two unique worlds and cultures, and it’s a totally unique experience.
