Louis Vuitton Recruits J-Hope As A Global Ambassador

Although world-renowned K-pop group, BTS, is on a hiatus, it’s not stopping the individual members from making a splash. J-Hope is not only a rapper, singer, producer, and songwriter, but he’s globally recognized for his fashion sense too. Hence, Louis Vuitton has recently brought him on board to be one of their newest global ambassadors.

Back in January, the K-pop star was spotted sitting in the front row at the luxury brand’s 2023 Fall Winter Men’s show. He was wearing a three-piece set (work jacket, button-up, and trousers) in a groovy, collage-like pattern. The mastermind behind the outfit was the brand’s guest designer, Colm Dillane (KidSuper), who happens to be known for his avant-garde prints.

In an official statement from Louis Vuitton following the ambassadorship announcement, they stated that “the Maison is delighted to welcome the South Korean artist, who brings his unique charm and style to this exciting new chapter.” In fact, they confirmed that the presence and support of the BTS army have already been felt.

J-Hope joins a star-studded roster of Louis Vuitton ambassadors. This includes Bradley Cooper, Jackson Wang, and Tahar Rahim. Additionally, his fellow BTS members have jumped on board with luxury labels. Jimin is a Dior ambassador and Suga is signed with Valentino. If anything, this shows how the fashion world is recognizing the cultural imprint Korean music groups have on society. Of course, this is an effort by Louis Vuitton and other brands to strengthen their voices in the Asian market.
