The next generation of Instagram style influencers is here you guys, and we’re seeing double! That’s right – sister act Reese & Molly Blutstein have taken the Instagram world by force with their own unique take on fashion, fun, and what’s hot, and they are building so much momentum it’s hard to believe that it’s all coming from these two tiny humans (spoiler alert, they are 5’2”). But as the old adage goes, the best things come in small packages, and this dynamic duo is proving just that! But that’s not all. While each sister certainly has her own style, they especially thrive in styling themselves as a duo, perfectly co-creating a ying-and-yang vibe that pops with color and is appealing to the eye! With their laid back style that is awesome in particular for those often-forgotten petite ladies who love fashion, the 21-year old twins with a special knack for discovering funky shoes, bags, and vintage pieces are garnering a real name for themselves for their unique ability for adding a special spin on current trends. And it’s in this special styling skill that these two ladies are proving once and for all, that two really is way more fun than one!
So just how do two little fashion-loving ladies from Atlanta find themselves as highly sought-after influencers in a bustling business where most involved don’t really look like them? Well, the two Atlanta natives have always loved fashion and have actually credited their grandmother as their biggest style influence. (No wonder they have that perfect 1970’s vibe on lock-down. They found their inspiration right from the source!) And because of their love for fashion, their original intention was to blog about fashion together. But as Reese began posting to Instagram, and then soon after as Molly joined the party, the follow requests starting trickling in, eventually in large amounts, which gave them even more confidence to pursue the path of the influencer. Their love for fashion in particular has been a way for them to set themselves apart and present themselves to the outside world. So it’s only fitting now that the love they developed at an early age for fashion has now transformed into a full fledged career of sorts.
And if you think that the twins’ sense of style is as similar as they appear to be – think again. In fact, their distinct styles have played a really important role in their identity, a way to express what sets them apart as individuals. And when you’re constantly being compared to someone who looks almost exactly like you, that style gets magnified as a way of self-expression! Though the sisters both have a proclivity towards sporty separates, and a normcore type of vibe, they are also both experts at elevating each look with the pop of a statement necklace or the addition of a fun bag in their own special way.
And in the world of overdone, often enhanced, towering models of Instagram, it’s really refreshing to see these two cute, natural, petite ladies with their signature auburn bobs and freckled complexions. It feels like a secret invitation to get back to ourselves and be true and authentic to who you are and what you look like. It’s effortless, relaxed, fresh, and honestly, quite envy-inducing in it’s own right.
And while most people often refer to what the sister style team does as being “influencers”, it’s not their favorite term and they much prefer the term fashion blogger. The other thing that keeps them distinctive is the city they live in. While many in their industry tend to live in New York, Los Angeles, or other major cities where there seems to be more of a thread that connects the fashion world, Reese and Molly are content to keep Atlanta their home base. It keeps them authentic and gives them a leg-up in their field as it allows them to stand out among the often overly saturated world of Instagram fashion It-girls!
These two ladies have shared so many fab looks in their time on Insta that it would be impossible to share them all with you today! But we certainly have a few faves! The rainbow puffer jacket that Reese rocked back in December had us living out our childhood Rainbow Bright dreams, while Molly’s simple baby pink satin slip dress from October reeked of feminine vintage perfection! We fell in love with Molly’s Pretty-Woman-inspired brown and white polka-dot bikini, and Reece’s sleepwear inspired black button-up blouse and matching pants with white stitching and button detailing made our wish list. Whether they’re rocking high-end collectibles, or style separates from Amazon fashion, we love how these two ladies make fashion seem so approachable, simple, and fun! But don’t take our word for it! And as if things weren’t exciting enough for the stylish sisters, last year, the pair hit an all-time career high! They made their fashion runway debut with Hillary Taymour’s show for her indie label Collina Strada. In a concept that can be described as a mock-wedding, the darling duo “played” flower girls in their matching yellow rouched long-sleeved tops and satin yellow midi-skirts, with white tennis. And that’s no small potatoes in the fashion world! I’m sure it was as much of a thrill for them as it was for fans of the Insta stars to enjoy.
