Camiel Fortgens

Camiel Fortgens, a designer based in Amsterdam, established his own brand in 2014 after completing his studies at the Design Academy Eindhoven. His brand focuses on exploring various materials, shapes, and elements of men’s clothing from different eras and cultures. Through his designs, Fortgens challenges the current trend of copying and replicating in the menswear industry by incorporating unisex cuts and interpretations of iconic garments. His menswear pieces are both recognizable and practical, featuring bold twists on classic items such as white t-shirts, jeans, tailored trousers, hooded jackets, and graphic t-shirts with a touch of humor. The collection also includes trench coats with both clean-cut and frayed edges, showcasing a mix of traditional and avant-garde styles. Fortgens’ menswear line not only showcases a diversity of constructions and fabrics, but also successfully bridges the gap between traditional and experimental fashion.
