Daisuke Obana, the founder and creative director of N.Hoolywood, started his fashion journey as a manager and buyer for a vintage store in Tokyo. In 2000, he established his own company. Combining elements of classic military, vintage American sportswear, and traditional Japanese craftsmanship, the native of Kanagawa Prefecture blends modern rebellion with casual elegance. Technical fabrics and bold colors are used to create softly structured silhouettes, showcasing the label’s edgy take on streetwear. The brand’s streetwear aesthetic is enhanced by boxy bomber jackets, oversized nylon parkas, sporty board shorts, and cropped lounge pants, featuring colorblocking and utilitarian details. The brand’s growing popularity in the streetwear scene is evident through recurring collaborations, such as the seasonal partnership with Reebok Classic.
