Blending driving electronic tracks with haunting melodies, they have created their own signature sound, which they describe as ‘dark pop’. The identical twins have already made their mark in Europe and the Far East where they have toured extensively with a number of high-profile artists, from Eels, and LP to Duran Duran, and Nile Rodgers in addition to headlining their own shows and festival dates. Over the past three years they have been featured as MTV Iggy’s Artists of the Week, performed on BBC Newsnight, performed in New York at one of the prestigious TED events and appeared alongside Katy Perry, will.i.am and many more in Unicef’s Imagine campaign garnering a significant amount of press attention. Their 2018 single, “Talk to Me” addressed the urgent need for a more open conversation around mental health issues; while the video for the track won Best Music Video at the Festigious Film Awards, BEST D.O.P at the International Music Video Underground Awards and an Honorable Mention at the Los Angeles Film Awards. Co-written by ‘dark-pop’ musicians Bloom Twins (Sonya and Anna Kuprienko) and produced by Anthony Marshall, Free Fall discusses creativity and the desire to unapologetically create what you love and express yourself without anything holding you back. Speaking about the song, Sonya Kuprienko mentions how the duo play around with the theme of opposites and pushing boundaries, playing around with their genre ‘dark-pop’:

“This is when we are pushed out of our comfort zone and push the boundaries of who we are. It’s a test and a battle between the opposites: fashion and music, black and white, and my twin and I. It’s not only our genre of music but also our sense of fashion – it’s our world with no limits and its welcome to all”.

‘Free Fall’ is also featured in the new short horror film ‘In2ruders’ with the film’s soundtrack produced by Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran. Available to watch now on Amazon, Anna and Sonya both play leading roles. With their last single ‘Love Me Right Now’ passing over 1 million listens, Bloom Twins have continued to write and record new material for their next EP due to be released next year as they take the music world by storm.
