When using velcro hair rollers, it’s essential to start with damp hair. If you’ve just stepped out of the shower, there are a few things you need to do to prep your locks. Begin by detangling with a paddle brush and applying a heat protectant, focusing primarily on the ends of your hair. Then, blow dry your entire head until it’s about 80-90% dry. Using a comb, start with a 1 to 1 ½ inch section at the crown of your head. Place the velcro hair roller at the bottom of the section. This next step is crucial.
