Takahiro Miyashita, a renowned Japanese designer, first gained recognition for his cutting-edge label Number (N)ine. However, in 2009, he parted ways with the brand to establish his own fashion venture, named TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist, which better reflected his personal fashion sense. With complete creative control, Miyashita has been the sole designer of the brand since its launch in 2010. As a result, his collections have evolved to exude a sense of sophistication, straying away from the rebellious rock n' roll aesthetic of his previous brand. Drawing inspiration from musicians and Western Americana, Miyashita's collections feature layered, dark-toned pieces with contrasting proportions, asymmetrical styling, and ever-changing conceptual themes. While his designs include fitted jackets and pants with a dandy feel, they are balanced with military-inspired outerwear and accessories, adding a utilitarian edge to the refined wardrobe essentials.
