In 2015, Willy Chavarria, a Mexican American designer, launched his own fashion brand, more than twenty years after his introduction to the New York fashion industry. Chavarria sees his brand as a way to honor his queer, Chicano, and working class heritage, and to advocate for human rights and social justice.
