In 2015, Willy Chavarria, a Mexican American designer, launched his own fashion brand, more than twenty years after his introduction to the New York fashion industry. Chavarria sees his brand as a way to honor his queer, Chicano, and working class heritage, and to advocate for human rights and social justice. With his diverse background, including his previous role as senior vice president of design at Calvin Klein, he has consistently received critical acclaim, including the 2023 CFDA Award for American Menswear Designer of the Year.
