Y/Project is one of those brands that always manages to keep us engaged with their bold looks and unapologetic styling. And yes, once you see the Spring/Summer ‘24 collection in action, you’ll quickly understand how this sentiment comes about. In this release, you’ll discover oversized tan trench coats with hoods and plenty of skin-revealing details, itty bitty tops that showcase the brand’s name, blazers and dressy trousers that feature an all-over fiery motif, denim pants with unique button detailing from hip to heel, jackets with dual zipper sections forming the shape of the letter “Y”, and baggy athletic shorts cascading from the waist on one side. Even the unconventional pairings in the lineup alone are worth noting. We’ve got lounge shorts layered over denim trousers and silky textiles juxtaposed with pinstripe cotton in elongated, multi-tone gowns.
Continuing along with what the collection has to offer, you’ll notice that the avant-garde nature continues to grow. You’ll find shirts, pants, and skirts all assuming tornado-like facades through multi-dimensional ruching techniques. And hey, did you notice the slithering reptiles adorning the models’ necks?
