As always, Sacai continues to surprise us with their use of contrasting materials, unique patterns, and unexpected silhouettes. Just take a look through the Autumn/Winter ‘21 collection to get a feel for what we’re describing here. Highlighting a mixture between classic designs and unexpected details, there’s no arguing that this is a collection that is most ideally suited for all the elegant ladies out there. For instance, this latest collection highlights some of the designs we might expect of a fall collection including puffer jackets, trench coats, sherpa, and no shortage of knits, but that’s really where the expected styling ends. Whether it be leather panelling added to a trench, a deconstructed dress, or a patchwork style skirt, all of the pieces in this collection bring together multiple details to give us something that feels new and exciting. Even the color palette caught our attention with its deep reds, royal blues, and classic olive and black. And oh, let’s not forget to mention all the layering and texture that is featured from start to finish. Bottom line: This is one of those collections that is hard to put into words, but believe us when we say, it’s one that once you see, you’ll appreciate.
