Greg Lauren

In 2011, Greg Lauren, a painter-turned-designer from Los Angeles, unveiled his namesake clothing label in an effort to create new wardrobe essentials for 21st-century men. Drawing inspiration from traditional collegiate-style clothing, the nephew of Ralph Lauren has adopted a DIY-vibe, wherein vintage military fabrics and recycled denim are seen throughout the collection. Lauren’s skill in combining disparate objects to create innovative pieces has allowed him to explore design from unconventional perspectives. His pieces are adorned with features such as oversized pockets, stitched crests, textured finishes, and asymmetric constructions. He places a heavy emphasis on tailoring and detailing, ensuring that the clothing is of the highest quality. Furthermore, Lauren’s label resonates with a generation that seeks to express themselves through fashion. Most of the garments are handcrafted in LA, further reinforcing his brand’s laid-back yet rebellious attitude.
