Currently studying at the Pratt Institute in New York, up-and-coming designer, Rachel Lee, is stepping onto the scene in a major way. Creating all her garments by hand in NYC, the attention to detail coming out from Lee is obvious right from the get-go. Whether it be a lace midi skirt, a gingham top, or a dusty pink mini skirt, each piece feels young and fresh. In addition, there’s also a subtle femininity lurking behind the collection. There’s no overt floral designs, bows, or sequins; instead, femininity comes through with the use of a soft color palette, light materials, and detailing like lace. While this young designer may still be studying her craft, with pieces like these, we’ve got a feeling we’ll be seeing much more of her in upcoming seasons. What do you think?
