Altuzarra presented a Fall 2026 collection rooted in drama and daily life. Shown during New York Fashion Week, Joseph Altuzarra’s latest lineup continued his ongoing study of character dressing, this time through a distinctly Spanish lens. The everyday wardrobe was still there, but it arrived heightened, charged, and ready for the spotlight. Backstage, Altuzarra cited Rosalía’s Berghain music video, where an orchestra plays as she irons, as a starting point. He also referenced Pedro Almodóvar, Luis Buñuel, and Diego Velázquez. That cinematic Spanish lineage translated into flamenco inspired skirts cut with volume and swing, some rendered in chiffon and georgette, others grounded by sturdy peacoats with furry sleeves or exaggerated collars. Dresses, a cornerstone of the brand, arrived with tubular pom pom fringe that moved with each step, as well as anatomical body prints traced with shadows of bugle beads and sequins. Romantic Chantilly lace and softly ruffled layers slipped beneath leather and shearling outerwear, creating tension between delicacy and structure without losing wearability.
